Physicians for Peace
Dr. Mustafa believes that it is important to be involved in international efforts to help people of all religions, nationalities and financial backgrounds who do not have access to the proper medical resources needed for their health and safety. On the Board of Trustees for the Physicians for Peace, Dr. Mustafa plays an active role in this non-profit organization dedicated to touching the lives of children and adults of developing countries. Since the 1980s, Physicians for Peace has sent teams of medical volunteers, such as physicians, dentists, nurses and other health professionals, on missions to places where their healing skills are desperately needed - Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
Medical volunteers not only bring crucial medical resources, but they also bring a strong focus on education to areas of need. Teaching others to heal and care in these developing countries is crucial in ensuring lasting positive changes for the health of the people.
